The return address provided by the seller was false and could not be returned

I purchased a game controller, but the product the seller sent me had serious quality problems and could not be used normally, so I chose to refund and return it. The seller kept delaying and refused to respond to me until I applied for eBay to intervene. But unfortunately, it was useless because the return address provided to me by the seller was fake. Royal Mail sent me a notice that they informed me that the return delivery address did not exist and no one could pick up the package, so it would be rejected, so I feel that this is a scam and deception, and I need to get my money back.

Returns should be made through ebay, and item sent to the address supplied by ebay.

Opening a proper NOT AS DESCRIBED RETURN, the seller has to supply a return label through the csse.

If you do returns your way, it is asking for trouble. Has it been returned to you? If so are you within the 30 days to open a proper case? If you are open it now!

If out of time contact your payment provider?

Do not forget to leave this seller NEGATIVE FEEDBACK.

Thank you for your answer. I did make a courier reservation based on the return label, but the address was indeed wrong. It seems that the address on the return label is different from the address from which it was sent. I don't know how this happened. Now I haven't received the returned goods. On February 1, I provided the tracking information for the return. On February 5, Royal Mail informed me that no one received the goods at the address. It has not been returned to me until today, but my eBay help page shows that my case has been suspended and the time for supplementary documents is until February 21.

As far as eBay is concerned, it's the address on the label they provided that counts.

Don't over-think things on eBay. It's not uncommon for returns to be sent to a different address than the one from which it was sent. It doesn't matter why.

I take it that you opened a case under eBay's money back guarantee? Responsibility for the address provided and the cost of return rests with the seller. If delivery was attempted but failed eBay should support you.

You may need to contact customer support to explain that the address does not exist. I'm not clear what "you made a courier reservation based on the return label" means. Are you saying that you didn't use the label provided, but paid for a courier instead? If so, this might complicate things. I trust you uploaded the tracking number to eBay.
