Simple Delivery

After using Ebay for 25 years they have decided to change all of my listings, without consulting me first, by changing my postage from what it has always been to Simple Delivery.  I have spent all my weekend changing each of my listings back to normal postage.  I have a stock of postage stamps to use so don’t want to use Simple Delivery but every time an item is relisted they are automatically changing my listings to Simple Delivery.  What can I do?  I am really fed up of EBay.

Have you looked at how Simple Delivery works?  It applies to most items with a few exceptions.  Where it applies it is not optional.

If you are selling items where opting out is possible, it might be better to start those listings from scratch.

Surely EBay can’t dictate how I want to make a listing? I have used them for 25 years and have not had this problem before. It means I have to make manual amendments to correct every one of my listings each time they are relisted! That cannot be right.

What category are you using?

As far as I can see ebay has been rather unhelpful in not now showing exempt categories, but looking at your items there should be something that fits as exempt.

I only list exempt items and have no problems with relists, bearing in mind the difficulties in selling now, most have to be relisted.

I do have to keep a look out, as although Badges fall into an exempt category, Military is ok but sport badges are not. Just shows ebay have no idea what they are doing, so I play safe by using mostly OTHER which seems to cover my needs.

If you say you have to edit relists, then you must be doing something wrong, as if you can edit they must be exempt in the first place. If not exempt you would not be able to edit.
