Sent orders but not via ebay prepaid delivery

I sold 3 items and I've sent them via royal mail, paid for by me, rather than use the prepaid evri label supplied by eBay. 

I don't trust evri.

I've paid for tracking and signature etc but my concern is because eBay only pay the seller once the parcel is delivered, how will eBay know the parcel has been delivered if I've not used the eBay delivery? 

The option of add tracking number isn't on the items.

See if you can add the new tracking to the order by going to the Order Details > Postage > dropdown menu (beside track package) > Add Tracking > + Additional Tracking Number.   

Not sure if that is possible any more.   If not contact ebay and ask them to change the tracking number.   You can use callback on here:

If you used custom postage,  which is still available for some sellers,  then there is an option to mark as dispatched and add tracking.

Preferably use a laptop / PC and Chrome then click on the item in your active listing.

Top left , click on view order details>>  far right from More Actions drop down menu , select Mark as Dispatched and add tracking.

Once tracking shows delivery your payout will be released 2 days after the delivery date.  If it doesn't show delivery,  your payout will be held for 14 days.

Does anyone have actual experience of being able to add tracking when the SD label has not been used?

I am starting to think it's not an option.

No idea when SD is the only option,  but the seller decided at their own cost,  to pay and use their own postage / tracking,  then maybe tracking cannot be manually added.  Asking CS would they do it?  Who knows ! 🤔  Guess we won't know this  until SD is mandatory,  but  a seller  who will wish to use their own preferred postage and pay for this, and prob will then have to wait 14 days for their payout.

Whilst custom postage is still available for some allegedly up to the 28th,   then the option to add your own tracking should still be available ,  a few have come back to say thank you that worked .  As said,   that is when custom postage can still be selected.

There are so many sellers saying they can't add tracking in these circumstances that I suspect the ability has been removed.

I think you're right.   It probably makes it too easy to bypass SD when seller is using free postage and buying the postage.
