My mistake as an infrequent user. I pre packed an item, and when sold just found the address and sent it 48 Hour tracked for £5.71
I missed the whole Evri??? thing, my buyer paid postage through Evri £3.71
However it was delivered three days ago to the buyers safeplace. I have post code and photographic evidence.
I've messaged my buyer but no response as he has contacted Ebay directly.
Really not sure whats going on

Why has buyer contacted ebay, the only logical reason would be it has not arrived, and once overdue buyer can open a not received case.
As you have no tracked proof of delivery, only the Evri tracking would be loaded, you are possibly going to have to refund.

But I do have proof of delivery from three days ago. Not Evri, but confirmation from the Post Office with photographic proof as well.

When you say your buyer has messaged eBay directly, you're not by chance receiving a message from eBay stating ..... ' Your buyer has reached out to us, concerning their order? '
This rather odd message appears for all sellers when the seller sends or receives a message to their buyer, it does not mean the buyer has contacted eBay!
If your buyer does not open any case for item not received all is well, message the buyer no more. If they do, you enter that tracking number if it shows delivery, the buyer does not receive any refund.

Sorry just to add, re your post's title, eBay's tracking and courier's tracking are rarely in sync, as long as you have the courier's tracking showing delivery proved on their website, this if needed if a case is opened, will close the case in your favour.

Thank you, that is indeed the message I received.
I do have the tracking number, and the proof of delivery message and a photo of it in the buyers safeplace.
My fault for sending it 48 hour tracked. Just sent it as soon as I got the sold message. I wasn't familiar with the Evri.
Fingers crossed then

If that is the message, then all is well.
The buyer Has Not contacted eBay, that rather odd and in my humble opinion unnecessary at the very least very badly worded message should not be sent, and is just ' confirmation' that a message has been sent / received between transaction members ! 🤔
