I have sold an item and delivered by hand today. However the buyer selected evri delivery. How do I mark the item as delivered or collected so that payment is released?

You can't mark it as delivered or collected and will have to wait up to 14 days for payment.

Thank you but how does eBay know that it has been delivered? Does the
purchaser have to do something their end?

There is nothing either of you can do to mark as delivered, as long as the buyer doesn't claim item not received your payment will be released in around 14 days

When you sell collection only items, the buyer gets a code that they give to you when they collect the goods and this releases the payment.

You don't have any proof of delivery.

The buyer could leave you feedback but that doesn't usually speed up payment.

The buyer can't mark the item as delivered or received.

The usual advice is to cancel the sale and relist the item as collection only but that is a bit long-winded as you have to refund the buyer, then they purchase the item again.

This time, you will just have to wait.
