Can anyone help me I had an item for sale at £1620.00 accept an offer at £1600.00 but when the offer came through the offer states I will only receive £1562.06 and I don't understand this as the buyer pays the protection fee

When buyer makes an offer, it's what they want to pay, so BPF is deducted.
If seller makes an offer, ebay add on BPF.
You can counter offer, so you get full amount.
