Ask the buyer to give you the code before you release the item. It's a risk for them but a risk for you if they don't. The alternative would be to cancel/refund and relist with postage for the buyer to buy again.

Im selling something but its pick up only but we have arranged for royal mail to pick it up how do I complete the order if I haven't got a code
I've never used a collection from home postal service , but with Royal Mail if they're picking up. is there no tracking / scanning involved here ?
Asking too, for future reference ! 🤔

Hi @tressygirl that would be postal tracking though. I don't think it would satisfy the proof of (buyer) collection that ebay want.

Aaah OK so no proof of delivery when it's a postal collection? Surely this cannot be fair / right for seller's? Many through personal circumstances have to use a collection from home service, if their items are never protected against INR, it's not right in my humble opinion !
Talking for Private sellers here, would Simple Delivery not jump in and eBay refund in these instances ?
🤔

If the seller lists with postage then RM collection is fine. It's just different when the item is listed for collection by buyer. That's my understanding anyway.

Aaah I thought the OP was referring to, and we were discussing no proof, when it's a Royal Mail collection, not when a buyer collects , as I know the code is essential here for a buyer to bring with them.
