Returning an item

I am trying to return an item but eBay have closed the case whilst I was away and I missed the date. I have contacted the seller and they keep referring me to eBay but it is all automated. How can I make this return?

If the case has closed it cannot be reopened and you cannot open another case for this item with eBay.

Have you received your refund?

If you haven't ,  there is nothing to enforce the seller to refund you now, and you could try your payment provider for help with your refund.

Once over time it is too late to force a refund/return through ebay.

If seller really wanted to help, they can still refund through ebay up to 90 days and accept returns outside the ebay 30 days, but most sellers do not know this and in any case just want an excuse not to refund.
