Returned scam

Hello there i have a situation were i have sold a used condition earrings to a buyer on 8th Feb, it has been delivered on 11th Feb. Upon delivery buyer hasn't reported any issues.
Now on 3rd of March i am receiving a notification of a return buyer chosen a return reason for damaged or item not working reason. And return message that she worn earrings once and earring got broken. Now i called ebay support they have enforced me to accept return and upon getting a return report an issue attached photos and i will be able to issue a partial refund deducting item loss of value . I have received the item it was broken and used as there were signs of wear like foundation on then and one of them was broken. When reporting an issue ebay did not had option to refund  partial refund just fuul refund plus postage. Again when called ebay support to get help , they told me that there is nothing i can do just refund in full as if not my seller rating will be damaged as i am not a top rated seller i dont have an option to make partial redund i mean are u serious? How is this fare and working the buyers can buy items use it and then get 100% money back because ebay has this policy in place as 30 day money back guarantee and i think this situation is in breach of that because the buyer abused the returns.

Only business sellers can give partial refunds.

Private sellers have to refund in full.

eBay gave you incorrect advice as private sellers must refund the whole payment. Only registered business sellers can make reductions for damage allegedly caused by the buyer.

I'm afraid your situation is what happens all the time. Sellers often complain that buyers have damaged their items, or even returned a different one than the item sold. eBay guarantees the buyer a refund if an item is not as described, but as they never even see it they often just take the buyer's word.

Sellers can appeal eBay's decision, and report the buyer for abusing the guarantee, but the case is  still liable to be found in the buyer's favour.

This is one of the reasons why eBay is a risky place to sell things.
