Return Request Turning Hostile

I placed a listing for a Dry Robe with every measurement and detail described on the listing, photos etc.

The coat was new with labels and packaging.

I have now received  a return request  saying  "doesn't fit"

I contacted the buyer to request more information on the issue.

Her response was it was too long. I included the length of the coat in the listing  and explained this.

She is now being  hostile, saying  she shouldn't  be left with something she can't use.

I am not a business,  just a private  seller, getting  rid of unwanted  things. I have 100% feedback  going over 20 years. I am concerned  if I don't  accept return she will leave negative feedback, and probably  even if I do!

I tried to explain  how detailed my description was with measurements etc, but she is not accepting responsibility for ordering and perhaps  not measuring beforehand.

Any advice  welcome.

Thanks  😊

Return Request Turning Hostile

A good rule for selling is you keep communication with buyers to an absolute minimum.   Whereas some are lovely and respond well to contact, you will get the few that try to take advantage.

"Doesn't fit" is a change of mind return which you can refuse but if you have "returns accepted" on your listings then you should accept it but buyer pays return postage.   If you don't have returns accepted you don't have to agree to it, it is entlrely up to you.

Don't reply to the buyer again.   Do everything via the actual case.
