Retract a payment

I just paid an item which am supposed to pay cash on collection, I accidentally paid it by paypal, what should I do

There is nothing you can do.....the seller can refund but in doing so they would earn a damaging account defect.....they would either have to cancel with your acceptance & relist OR siimply allow the Paypal payment which under eBay rules they are obliged to do

You cannot cancel the payment, the seller would have to refund it.
