Anyone know how I go about trying to get a refund for an ebook? I ordered what I thought was a physical copy but it turned out to be an ebook version. Started a return process but says I need to send it back by courier & show proof but how when it isn’t a physical item

Print off a copy of the listing and send that back using the label that eBay have provided you with.
Here's somebody else with the same issue:

You're unlikely to get a refund if it was bought on eBay as an ebook unless is was sold for dellivery in a physical medium e.g. CD or USB card. The sale of digitally deliverered items is not allowed on eBay.
If it was from the bookseller who was the last seller to leave you feedback they seem to be a reputable, established seller. It would be surprising if they offered digital delivery and this isn't offered in any of their listings that I looked at.
It could be a mistake. They may also sell on Amazon, where digital delivery of eBooks is allowed. Have you tried messaging them?

This should be an item not as described case where the seller provides the label.

What reason did you select for the return from the dropdown menu?
