Refund for a cancelled order

Hello,

I purchased item 267095199611 by mistake and cancelled the order. The seller refunded me by Paypal, which sent the payment to you on 15th December. It is now more than 8 days since you received the payment but have not yet refunded it to my bank account, why?

Seller does not refund to paypal directly, as they do not know how you paid,

He did not refund to us, we are members like you NOT EBAY.

Refunds to back to source so how did you pay, and if you paid by paypal, and funded by a credit card then it can take up to 30 days.

Have you had an advice from ebay that refund is on its way, if so when they say 4 or 5 days, that is a very poor estimate as length of time it takes depends on method of payment, and in any case would only go back to current account if paid by debit card.

Thanks for the reply. I received a message from Paypal saying that my payment had been refunded to my eBay account on the 15th of December. Ebay has received this payment and told me it would take 3 to 5 days to reach my bank account. I do not use credit cards to make payments, so my simple question was/is why is it taking longer?

Never know why eBay use that 3 - 5 day timeframe,  it's way too optimistic, and  it certainly doesn't apply to all methods of payment.

If you paid via your bank debit card,  check your bank account,  refunds go back to source and it can take up to 12 days to appear  in bank accounts. 

Weekends and the coming Holiday period may delay the refund.
