Hi, this seems basic but the seller fees do not seem clear to me. If I list an item with a reserve, and the item isn't sold as the reserve isn't met, am I charged anything?

Only the basic 35p listing is free, if you add extras like reserves, you the pay the fee as soon as item is listed & is non refundable.
Reserves are expensive, just start auction or BIN at minimum you will sell for.
