Hi everyone, I have read up on the forum about a problem some sellers are getting with dupicate listings. I could not find the exact problem I am having.
At the end of my auctions I relist manually from 'Ended' sometime back to auction, sometimes to 'buy it now'.
In the last few months I have noticed that the listing have duplicated with sometimes a warning coming up.
Not really understanding why this should be happening I just deleted those & carried on. I have found myself with sales which had already sold despite only having one & a 'buy it now' & auction of same item at same time.
Now, I have not had much to complain about eBay over the years as it treats me fairly, but I do compare to another platform I sell on. However this did start to occur when my 1500 fixed price listings in my shop limit came up & I had to start paying for anything over. The synical mind gets working as I pay extra for all these wasted listings.
eBay refuses to remove fault & for the first time 2 calls to them failed. This is very sad to me indeed.
I would be interested if anyone else has an experience like this.
Thank you for taking the trouble to read this.
All the best & wishing you happy trouble-free selling.

Manually relisting and changing to BIN I have found still leaves the item in Unsold, and therefore needs to be deleted to avoid relisting later by mistake. May not happen all the time but did see it this morning.

Thanks for the reply. I manually relist from the 'Ended'. I maybe doing this wrong but have been using this way for many years with no problems. It was with the blessing of an eBay staff member I did it this way.
I know you have to be careful as sold auction listings come into 'Ended', you have to wait a short while for them to disappear.
I have auctions where I put various amounts of new listings on each week roughly the same time each week.
So when I relist by the time I go back there are more ended items. I relist quickly as I want to try & keep in control of how long they have been on as forget. When relisting the whole lot & it goes to 0 maybe 1-5 listings find themselves attached unnoticed to next lot of 'Ended' listings. The problem occurs when you now have a BIN & auction and do not notice. One sells & the other gets relisted unless noticed.
As I say I have been doing this trouble-free for many years & it is only started to happen in the last couple of months. However if I am doing this wrong I am happy to be told otherwise.
