Prepaid postage label

I have used my own postage stamps for sending an item I had sold on eBay  only to find eBay had also deducted postage from the sale to pay for a prepaid label which I never used. How can I get this money back

Prepaid postage label

For a label purchased through eBay's Simple Delivery and not used,  a refund can be achieved:

  • If you selected 'Buyer pays’ when you created the listing, your buyer will automatically be refunded for any Simple Delivery label that isn’t used after 30 days

  • If you selected ‘Seller pays’ and offered free postage on your listing, you'll need to fill out the Request a refund for Simple Delivery form for the label that wasn’t used. Make sure to send your request within 14 days of your item selling.  Also ensure you add the replacement tracking number of the service used, and it shows delivery.

I can see 3 items in your 'sold' items and all were listed with Ebay Simple Delivery and all had a postage cost on, showing the buyer pays.

Ebay collect that payment directly from the buyer and the postage payment goes to Ebay, rather than through your account.

So, you should receive the full amount for the item, nothing for postage, and Ebay supply a prepaid postage label.

If you don't use that label, because you use your own stamps, the buyer will be refunded the amount they paid to Ebay for postage.

You didn't pay for postage, so you can't claim it back.
