Postage label can't be cancelled

I have sold an item and was part way through printing the pre-paid postage label (I had the label on screen ready, but didn't print it) before figuring that out the postage wasn't going to be enough. So I have posted it independently - and paid for the postage. I went to cancel the postage label on eBay but just get the message Postage label can't be cancelled. The item is marked as despatched and has a tracking number of the unused label. Two questions: 1. How can I receive a postage refund? 2. Given that tracking number is meaningless, how will eBay know when my item has been received so that I can be paid for the item?

See the link on how to cancel a packlink postage.

You will need to contact ebay to ask them to change the tracking to the new postage tracking on the item.
