Postage from Northern Ireland to UK

Why do some eBay advertise Yodel at 2.69 and Evri at 2.98 when I am doing a listing. Then when the item sells it tries to  charge 4.08 for Yodel and 5.64 for Evri. Are we being discriminated against for living in NI? Sort of rubbishes eBay's "simple postage" promotion.

Couriers will add a delivery surcharge to/from a so called remote addresses in Northern Ireland  --- often cheaper to use Royal Mail for same price delivery throughout the UK when those surcharges are taken into consideration.

Simple postage is anything but simple or fair. This problem works in reverse as well with sellers in the UK putting a cost on listings only to find buyer is in NI, Highlands of Scotland, Offshore Islands where couriers charge up to 3 times the quoted price.

There is only one service that delivers to all parts of the UK for the same prices, Royal Mail.  Tracked 48 is very popular now, with competitive prices.
