Ongoing Verification Issues, Conflicting Info from Support, and Sudden Listing Removal

I’m hoping someone here might have experienced something similar or can shed some light, because I’m genuinely at a loss.

 

A red banner recently appeared on my eBay selling page, prompting me to update my details. I followed the instructions and submitted the necessary information, but the status just read “in progress.” I waited a few days, only to find that I was being asked to submit the same information again—with no correspondence or explanation, I could only assume my information had been rejected.

 

After going through this cycle multiple times, I called eBay support. I was told my bank account had been “abandoned”—a term I’d never heard before. I contacted my bank, who also had no idea what that meant, and confirmed that my account is active and functioning properly.

 

I called eBay again, and this time the representative assured me that my account was in good standing—ID, bank details, everything ticked the right boxes. He asked me to submit my details again and said he would add a note to my file.

 

Two days later, I was prompted once more to enter my information. I rang eBay again, and again was told everything looked fine. This time the agent said he’d put a note through to the back office team to look into it.

 

Then, six hours later—during my lunch break—I found that all my listings had been removed due to a “policy violation.” I contacted eBay once again, and was told yet again that everything looked fine and that they were unsure why the listings had been removed. I was told I’d have to wait 24 hours for a response—meaning I miss out on key selling time, without any clear reason why.

 

This experience has been incredibly frustrating. I’m simply trying to run my business, and the lack of clarity, consistency, and communication has made that nearly impossible. If anyone from eBay can assist, or if any fellow sellers have been through something similar, I’d really appreciate your input.

The goods I sell are exceptions so the 1st line doesn’t apply to me. My listing were taken down specifically because of my inability to give them information they already have.

  • Digital trading cards
  • Online gaming virtual items
