Offers to buyers locked my listings

I have been selling on ebay for 14 years and recently I saw a button on my selling page '' Help to close the deal by sending offers to buyers '' . So I did send offers to interested buyers with price reduction in order to make a sale, however now all those listings I have sent offers to have some attributes locked such as images and descriptions. I have been on the phone with ebay support and they have told me that I need to start from scratch. Some of my items have over 5k sold and if there is a change in design of the packaging of this item for example I can no longer just change the photos, but have to start a new listing from square one and not have the sales ranking I achieved. Has anyone had similar issues and if ebay managed to help?

That is correct ,  if an offer has been sent,  then the item cannot be revised / changed until the offer expires, or is declined.

Thank you for your reply. Ebay customer service told me that the listing will never be able to be edited once an offer has ben sent, but you mentioned that I could be allowed to add more photos to my item listing once the offers expire? Would this restore the possibilities to change attributes such as photos to the listing?
