Sold my first item which was collected today. Am waiting for buyer to give me the code. Have emailed a reminder but no response as yet. Cannot believe this has happened think I will close my account if I don’t receive payment. Very gutted

You should have got the collection code before letting the buyer take the item.

Now you will have to wait between 14 and 31 days for payment,  depending on which payment holds are applied.

Just to add to the correct advice given have you registered for eBay's Managed Payments?  If not,  you'll have a longer wait for your payout,  see here:

You need to provide eBay with details of a bank account and have this account verified.  The usual method here, is for eBay to send 2 micro deposits into that nominated bank account for you to receive,  and confirm to eBay.

Once this is completed,  you will be able to list items for sale,  and receive payouts from those sales.
