Local pick up - buyer ask to use Shiply- is it safe?

A relative is selling some car wheels as local pickup. A buyer from some miles away has asked if they could use Shiply to get a courier to pick them up. Is this a good idea or not? Thanks in advance.

You'd need to get the collection code from the buyer before sending them off.   Couriers on Shiply may not issue tracking numbers but as long as you have the code ebay will act as if the item has been collected by the buyer.

Here's info about Shiply:

Just to add that when a buyer organises the courier they lose access to the ebay money back guarantee.
