I just bought a hand-made jacket from India ... the seller said it was XL ... but when it arrived I can't get it on because it's a child's size ... i did contact them ... they said it was 46" across the chest ... i sent them a photo with a tape measure across the front which clearly shows 23" ... they said don't return it ... they said we will give discount on your next order ... but i said i don't want to order anything else from you because i am fearful it won't fit ... i said i don't want to give your poor feed back so what shall we do about this ... they said pls don't give poor feedback : ((( but the jacket was over £28 and i can't wear it ... i tried contacting ebay buyer's protection but i can't seem to contact an agent to help ...

You don't need to contact an agent.
Start a return case - use the reason that the item is not as described in the listing.

It makes no difference when the item was not described correctly. Start a return on here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/buying/returns-refunds/return-item-refund?id=4041
select "Doesn't match description" and if necessary escalate it to eBay after 3 complete working days.
The seller will still have the option to refund without return but do not close the case until they do. You won't be able to open another one.

Open a return.
This involves Ebay and alerts them to an issue with the item you bought.
Then, once you have opened a case (return) the seller can refund you, offer a partial refund or provide you with a label to return the item.
Otherwise, they may simply keep exchanging messages with you until it is too late to do anything through Ebay and then simply go quiet on you.
Open a return and put the ball in their court.
Once you have done this, if they don't respond, you will be able to ask Ebay to step in. So many people post in this forum and complain they can't ask Ebay to step in because they never actually started a return.
DO NOT use the reason for return 'wrong size/didn't fit' - you must say it was not as described in the listing.
To request a return, select the item you want to send back from your recent purchases above, or use the button below. You can also start a return request from your Purchases in My eBay.
