Item posted day after a cancellation Request

Hello. 

I ordered an item at 8.50pm on the 29th. I cancelled it at 10.52pm on the 29th as realised I probably needed a slightly different size/item. 

 

A tracking number provided at 9:47 on the morning of the 30th. and Cancellation was declined - now saying its been posted on the 30th. 

Looking at the refunds policy - I would be liable for postage return, however I thought I cancelled the item in a reasonable timeframe and likely outside hours of them being able to arrange postage.

Does anyone know where i stand on this. I have contacted the Seller asking why they have posted it when I cancelled it.

A buyer can ask a seller to cancel an item,  but they do not have to oblige. 

 

Sometimes,  even if the cancellation request is done minutes later,  an order may have gone through to the seller's warehouse as a sale,  and too late to stop the process for dispatch.

 

If the seller has a Returns Accepted policy,  they should do if they are offering items in different sizes,  then you can return the item for the reason... wrong item ordered / doesn't fit , for a refund,  but you will have to pay for the tracked return postage.

Private sellers can refuse cancellation, business sellers are supposed to agree to them,

but you can't force them to.

You either return at your cost or sell it on.

Do not refuse parcel.
