Proof of postage is not proof of delivery. I an item is late by one day then the buyer can open a Not received dispute. As  you say it could be  because of Christmas.

if they open a dispute then you have to refund. if you dont and the buyer escalates to ebay ebay would force the refund

Problem is if you refund and then the item arrives you are relying on the buyers honesty to repay.

Some will and some don.'tDepending on how long it has been you may be able to claim from the courier or RM for late delivery but I would not hold my breath.

where do I go with this ?????

This is all fully explained in eBay's money back guarantee policy. There is a link to it in every qualifying listing, or see: https://pages.ebay.co.uk/ebay-money-back-guarantee/

In short, the key date is the latest estimated delivery date stated in the listing. If the item hasn't arrived by that date they can use eBays guarantee to claim a full refund. eBay will go by the tracking number. Proof of posting isn't sufficient, but you would not be required to refund the buyer if the tracking number you should have uploaded to eBay confirms it has been delivered. If it arrives, but late, they can if they wish return it (at your expense) for a full refund as "not as described".

If the buyer opens a case and you need further advice feel free to ask again, but do make yourself familiar with eBay's policy first.
