Item late in being posted

The item has been sold but it was late being posted, in fact I dropped it off at cost  to me. Please could someone tell me how I resolve this matter. Thank you

What do you mean, did you deliver?

With no proof of delivery buyer could go for a full refund. There is no way to resolve it, unless you advertise collection, when buyer gives you a code to prove delivery, you cannot even mark as dispatched.

For a delivery if listed as collection, the buyer could give you the code on delivering.
