Item delivered but using Special Delivery instead of eBay label

I sent an item by Royal Mail Special Delivery. It was received and confirmed by the buyer and tracking data. eBay has no record of tracking as I did not use their label and will not release funds.

It was listed with Ebay Simple Delivery so as soon as you accessed the label to get the buyer's address it added the tracking for that label.

You will have to wait until 14 days after the transaction to get paid, so your funds should be released on day 15.

Thank you for this. It would be better if you could access the buyer's address without having to print a Simple Delivery label. Then you could, if eBay facilitated it, enter the correct tracking number so that both eBay and the buyer could track the package. Simple Delivery works well if you estimate package weight correctly on listing an item but if you underestimate the weight the Post Office will not allow you to use the label as they cannot alter the weight limit on the label.
