Item broken

Hi Everyone,

I need help and advice on the following:-

I have recently sold a Wii U Console.

The customer has admitted on a message that they have done a system reset on the computer console with an SD card in the reader, this has now wiped the memory and broken the console.

The console was in perfect working order when it was listed and did not need to be reset, the customer has tried to do something that they knew nothing about.

I would like to know where I stand as they have contacted me telling me that the console no longer works due to the factory reset that they decided to do!  I feel like this isn’t a problem that should be passed back onto me as if left alone the console would have been in good working condition and as I had originally described in the listing.

Please advise how I stand as a seller on this matter do I need to agree to the console being returned and refunded? Or does the customer have no rights to a refund due to them breaking it?

Thank you for your help and answers.
