Item believed sent but unrecorded and not received

Hi All,

In cases where an item has been sent (unrecorded/not signed for)  and not received

what happens?

If it appears that it's just got lost in the post, who suffers - the buyer or the seller?

If the item is lost in the post, it's royal mail who suffers.  The seller refunds the buyer and then uses his proof of postage receipt to claim up to £20 from royal mail.

Seller every time......tracked post is entirely for the sellers benefit as a buyers rights are the same tracked or untracked

The seller is responsible, without online proof of delivery the buyer would win an eBay/PayPal case.
