International thief introduced by online platform- warranty

eBay Should have a policy to enforce a warranty.

Otherwise, all items should be sold on eBay without the word warranty.

OR

Only local seller are allowed to have the word warranty on their product.

I bought an item ( computer), and it should have a warranty,

First, I discovered later none of the specifications were incorrect; China plays with the firmware and gives names and speeds that do not reflect the real speed.

This is why the products are cheap.

So, Quality control is needed.

Second, regarding the warranty, I had the item stop working, so I sent it to the company as it has a warranty. The product was never returned, and the company only has email and no phone.

My information is stolen from the laptop.

This is how most hacking happens with such an approach, but we forget about it after some time.

be careful

So, what should ebay do to keep business going and stop thief sellers from the platform? Otherwise losing business.

eBay has no input regarding warranties or such like, they provide buyer protection of 30 days from delivery and that's in addition to your statutory rights.

eBay specifically warns buyers in the user agreement that "they do not guarantee the existence, quality, safety or legality of items advertised, or the truth or accuracy of descriptions".

They also make clear that their own, 30 day money back guarantee is the end of their involvement. After that, any problems including warranty issues are between the buyer and the seller.

Don't expect buying on eBay to be like the shops. You need to understand the risks of buying from unknown sellers here. eBay is a jungle.
