Hi can anyone help I've been asked to verify I'd as funds are now on hold. I can't as have damaged passport only have a pic which they won't accept. I have no other photo I'd. They are saying I can upload birth certificate but that is in maiden name I was married then my husband died so would need to provide marriage cert and then death cert which they won't accept. Woman was rude on phone and said nothing you can do.. so can anyone suggest anything as I have £174 sitting there in funds waiting

10 weeks ebay have given me 30 days I can't get any photo I'd in that time

Surely eBay wil accept a birth certificate in your maiden name, plus your marriage certificate? The death of your late husband doesn't seem material to your own identity (assuming, of course, that you haven't since remarried and changed your name).

If no luck, have a word with Citizens Advice. I imagine they must have experience of helping peple to prove their identities.

I asked and offered all that and no they won't accept. Problem is I've sent one item and it's been received. I don't want to send other items as I won't receive money and I also don't want to loose sale

Waiting time for a replacement passport isn't currently 10 weeks, it's around 3 weeks. A stolen or lost passport may take 4 weeks.

I contacted the passport office today and was told there is a back log and I'm looking at 10weeks
