How do I stop newly registered accounts from bidding on my auctions?

I have noticed recently that there are newly registered accounts with a zero feedback score bidding on my auctions and later retracting their bids.  In order to prevent this in future, I would like to set a minimum feedback score which will, hopefully, automatically exclude these fake bidders.  Does anybody know if that is possible and, if yes, how do I go about it?

You can't block these buyers.

We all started at Zero, how are newbies going to buy if they are blocked.

Even long established buyers can be bad.

Make sure you set buyer requirements.

Hi,

thanks for your suggestion.  I agree that we were all newbies once but, as I said, this seems to be a relatively new thing where brand new buyers are retracting bids and spoiling auctions.  I have also had a couple of established buyers in the past who have, as you've said, been bad and I simply finish the transaction and then add them to my blocked bidder list.

I'll go into setting buyer requirements again but I couldn't see how to set a bar on 0 feedback bidders.

Unless the "buyer" is the sole bidder if the bid is withdrawn the price reverts to the underbid.   I would not describe that as spoiling the auction. You say in post #3 that you cannot see how to bar "0" feedback bidders.  As advised there really is no way to do that.

You have some lovely and interesting items at very low prices.  You always take a great risk of a single bidder at the opening price.  Have you considered a higher starting price?
