How do I deal with the seller failing to take responsibility over a defective item?

I need help please,

I got a laptop from this UK ebay seller, he was not honest about the power button being defective (The laptop was listed as excellently working). After receiving the laptop, Immediately I noticed this and contacted him. I used a freight forwarder to deliver my package because am outside UK. He never wants to take responsibility for this and seems unbothered. It's Likely He is taking advantage due to the fact that I used a freight forwarder, he forced me to just return the laptop and indicate not as described item. I paid money to the freight forwarder equivalent to £30, just to get the laptop, and he used £9 as shipping with royal mail to my freight forwarder's office in UK.I suggested to him that if he can supplements a £15 for the issue diagnosis and repair, additional costs will taken care of by myself, since then he has stopped responding back.I was now forced to open a return case, something I fully know it's impossible and expensive to succeed. The return label has been created, return request still open upto 13th December, but I can't manage to return it due to high cost of using a freight forwarder and this seller has become non responsive. Please help me what I can do , or even request he sends a minimal partial refund of £15 to help out in the repair. Your help will be highly appreciated, thank you.

The ebay money back guarantee does not apply when a buyer uses a freight forwarder and even if the seller is willing to accept a return, they only have to pay the return postage from the freight forwarder to their  return address.

I think you need to get the laptop repaired yourself and write this off to experience.
