Hand delivery requires postage refund

I sold an item and was charged £3.7+ for delivery by evri. Turns out the buyer lived close by so I hand delivered it. Ebay suggested I would get the delivery charge back after 14 days when I didnt use the QR code or label. 18 days on and no refund. Buyer has left feedback, transaction is done.

Thoughts????

Re: Hand delivery requires postage refund

The refunds go back to whoever paid for the postage label,  and it's not instant.

  • If you selected 'Buyer pays’ when you created the listing, your buyer will automatically be refunded for any Simple Delivery label that isn’t used after 30 days

  • If you selected ‘Seller pays’ and offered free postage on your listing, you'll need to fill out the Request a refund for Simple Delivery form for the label that wasn’t used. Make sure to send your request within 14 days of your item selling.  Also ensure you add the replacement tracking number of the service used, and it shows delivery.

Re: Hand delivery requires postage refund

One of the conditions required for a seller to get a simple delivery postage refund is that they paid for alternative tracked postage.  Delivery by hand won't count.
