Global shipping fees for small value items

A new ebayer (0 feedback) asked to buy 3 x £2 items and combine postage. Unfortunately he didn’t say he was an international buyer. I said no problems He bought them. I then see he’s abroad. I refunded the postage costs for 2 of the 3 items. Now find the GSP has charged him £15 postage per item. He wants me to refund this amount or to cancel. I can understand this but can’t physically do either as I wasn’t paid this & the parcels already posted. Options?

If you've refunded the postage you received for two of them and if the parcels are already posted there is nothing you can do.    Explain the issue to him and hope he understands your dilemma.

Thank you for your reply. I have tried to explain, but obviously he’s new & horrified (as am I) that the GSP costs are so high for a low value & v small item. 😩

That's why a lot of sellers opt out of GSP.
