Feedback : rise in negative and neutral feedback ! EBay encourage it

I’ve had negative and neutral feedback and seemingly for no reason whatsoever; they breach eBay’s guidelines and yet the staff seem to want this ! I’m sick of it and really frustrating. I just got one from a buyer who I sent the item out three days early and I got neutral ‘ fast delivery’ …. Why ? EBay allow it and encourage it … it’s really unfair and makes me want to stop as there’s a lot of meanies out there

Why do you feel that eBay encourages buyers to do this?

 

More importantly, have you contacted the buyer about the neutral feedback? It may just have been a mistake, or perhaps there was some problem they haven't mentioned. eBay would probably ask you to try this first before requesting eBay to remove the feedback.

The negative is too old to do anything about, but I agree with @red_magpie  the neutral may well have been left by mistake, easy to do. 

 

Send the buyer a message asking if they would kindly complete a feedback revision to complete.

 

If they ignore the message,  then the neutral will not affect your seller performance or feedback score,  and anyone caring to read it, can see nothing detrimental was written, in fact the opposite, indicating it was left in error.
