I have just sold an item and my earnings state I have earned £25 from the sale - yet in my funds available it says £22.30 no explanation why any ideas !

You can see all the details, I can see nothing, I cannot even identify the item.

If you look at Payments  all transactions, every entry is shown and you can work out the answer to your question.

Were you selling with ' Free Postage' ?  This means , under Simple Delivery, seller pays for the postage and eBay take this amount for the postage label,  when the item sells.

See here the breakdown of your transactions and what has been deducted.
