Hi all, I need some help. I bought a cooker with a six months parts warranty less than five months ago. The fan is making a very strange noise but the seller is not responding to my messages. I do not know how to get eBay to step in to help and I have no other way to contact the seller, does anyone have any ideas how to proceed??
Thanks,
chris

You cannot report this to eBay as they do not offer warranties or guarantees on items, just that they are just as described on receipt. If they are not, a buyer has 30 days under eBay's 30 day MBG, Money Back Guarantee policy, to return the item for a full refund.
If you bought this from a Private seller you are too late to claim a refund. You may still be in time to claim from your payment provider, worth a shot.
If purchased from a registered UK business, who offered a guarantee and is now not upholding this, then turn to Citizens Advice for your next steps, if you wish to take this further.

Thanks tressygirl, I don’t necessarily want a refund, I would however like him to replace the faulty part. When I bought it he messaged me through the eBay app to say there is a six months parts warranty, now a part is faulty I just want him to come and sort it. Is this something eBay could step in to support with? He runs a business refurbishing and selling cookers on eBay and always has at least ten for sale at any time, he also has very good feedback.
thanks again for your help. Chris

eBay won't get involved here, they have a 30 days return window and that's it, same for PayPal.
If you paid with a debit or credit card you had 120 days to issue a not as described chargeback, but if it was 6 months ago you're unfortunately way past that timeframe now too.
If your seller is a UK registered business all you can do is to contact Citizens Advice and see if they can help advise.
