Faulty goods and failure to resolve

We bought an item for Christmas getting delivery mid December   Used item in January, it worked well until 05/02 when it stopped working. Reported to seller and they keep asking over and over again for same details. They did offer 20% refund but I advised goods faulty please replace or refund. They replied by asking the same previously answered questions again,  I see this as attempt to not resolve the problem. I can find no link to involve EBAY -any thoughts

Contact your payment provider, and go for a refund.

Having a replacement that also goes wrong after two months, is just a waste of time. Do you really trust this seller??

Paypal only give you 30 days from receipt to return a faulty item.

Ebay allows the same amount of time.

It might be worth contacting Citizens Advice if you bought from a UK business seller.
