Evri returned a parcel damaged by them in transit although the postage label still attached

How do I claim the postage costs of almost £16 back from Evri as I will need to post this again? The name and address were correct and postage label created through ebay.

You are a Private seller so should be using Simple Delivery.

Under SD rules, as the buyer has not received their item they should open a case for item not received and eBay fully refund the buyer everything they paid,  and you keep the full payment.

Did this not happen ?

You now have the item and should have the original payout so in effect if you do relist it again buyer pays again and there are 2 payouts received for the one item.

This must happen a lot and eBay have not made it clear if they do then retrieve one payout if 2 are received,  but I somehow doubt this happens ? 🤔

Hi! - thanks for your reply!
This has not happened as yet - I contacted the buyer last night to explain
what had happened...
They said they had a notification from ebay to say delivery was happening
yesterday. Obviously they never received it and it was delivered back to me!

I said I would re-post it to them tonight, but I shouldn't?
They need to raise an issue that item not delivered?
Ebay then refund them?
Then I sell itt o them again at same price?
I had received payment and since purchased another item depleting my entire
ebay balance.
What happens when they pay me again? Ebay take the balance back?
Sorry, I'm a little confused!
Been on ebay for many years but never had this issue.
