Ebay allows sellers to do not follow standards

Why does Ebay allow sellers to send items whenever they want. Allowing sellers to go past the arrival date. Then you have to contact them and they allow even more time for the sellers to send item.  No standards. This is why I do not like ordering from Ebay anymore.

You can open an 'item not received' just one day after the last estimated delivery date which gives the seller 4 days to either refund or prove delivery.  Most sellers are aware of that and once they see an open case, it should prompt swift action.
