Custom charges.

I’ve sold to USA regularly. But just now I’ve filled an online post from home form from Royal Mail and at the end had £5 extra added to my invoice. The buyer hasn’t been charged this.
I wasn’t aware that eBay sellars had to cover the buyers custom charges.

I can’t find a way out of it. Anyone know anything to help.

thanks.

It is not a customs charge as such - it is the new tariff charge introduced by Donald Trump.

Anything you now sell to the USA will involve such a charge - the baseline charge is 10%.

It is up to the seller to pay it and it is unavoidable - the only way to avoid it is not to sell to the USA.
