Hi,
When I setup my sale I thought the postal package would be X sized. However, after the seller won the auction, I found I needed a bigger box, but I couldn't adjust the dimensions to ensure the postage is correct.
In the end I was charged an extra $1 as the parcel was 150g heavier than expected, though ebay did pay this.
Also, its impossible to contact Ebay customer support to ask.
Regards
Andrew

You can't do that post sale, but as you have found, in certain situations with Simple Delivery ebay will cover the excess under their contract with the courier.
It's best to get the dimensions and weight correct when listing.
