Cancelling order impossible

I ordered an item by mistake because it was in my basket but only as a reminder.When I say another item I added it to my basket and pressed buy now without realising the other item was still in it.I saw the total cost of the order and it was then that I realised what I’d done.This all happens within 1 minute so I immediately tried to cancel.I got a message that it was too early to cancel try later.I went back less than 10 minutes later and was then told it was too late to cancel because it had been posted!I find that very difficult to believe.I literally had no chance of cancellation following a genuine request.

Is your seller a UK registered business seller?

Some sellers use fulfilment centres and as soon as a buyer pays for their order then the ball is set in motion.

If so, once you receive it you can return the item to them as a change of mind return if you don't want it.
