The buyer has not collected the item from the pick up point. The item was purchased on the 14th. May and posted on the 15th. May. The buyer has contacted me and advised me that the item will now be returned to me, then I will have to give the buyer a refund. The buyer said she forgot to collect the item. The buyer also said that when the item is returned to me, she would like me to post it back to her and she will pay for the return postage. There was no mention that they buyer would also pay me again for the item seeing as she would of been refunded once I receive the item back. I have not received the item back yet. Surely if I receive the item back I should only have to refund for the item and not the cost of the postage, otherwise I will be out of pocket for the postage costs. Also, surely the buyer would not expect me to resend the item to her and she only offering me the cost of the return postage and not the cost of the item. It appears that the buyer wants the item and only pay for the return postage and not the actual item. This is so stressful and I have done everything right in this situation. They buyer has said that it was her fault because she forgot to collect the parcel. It is now 19 days since the item was posted to the buyer. I am wondering where it is.

IF item is returned to you, you should refund In full.
Not all C&C items are returned, often they are disposed of by store, all in T&C.
So buyer will lose item and money.
Only refund if buyer opens ebay case.
You can then relist for them to buy again with home address.

If I have to refund in full, that means that I have paid for the postage to send the item. Surely I should only have to refund the amount the buyer paid for the item and the buyer should pay for the postage.

I would wait and see if buyer opens item not received case, if so you can give tracking showing as delivered.
If item does not come back to you, you can come back for advice.
