Hi. Please could somebody just give me a figure of how much it costs to list an item in the Pet Category, With a Business Account?... For example if you list a Dog Toy at £10, what are the listing fees?. (Without a shop subscription). There is nowhere on the website that gives any indication of listing fees. I have had an agent call me, and he didn’t know. He just sent me the link to the “Business Selling Fees page” of which doesn’t give the info. Why is such a secret to give this info? How can people work out the best way to go without all the information available?
Also please could someone help and send me the link to the pages where I can have a good moan about Buyer Protection being added to my listing prices. As hundreds of people are becoming aware that Sales have diminished or fallen drastically because of this latest idea.
Thank you very much.

The business seller fees page here: Fees for business sellers | eBay does give you all the fee details - but remember to multiply any fee by 1.2 to get the figure that you'll actually pay as all fees listed don't include VAT. So the listing fee for your dog toy (assuming you don't have a shop subscription) would be 30p x 1.2 = 36p. That's charged again every month that the listing renews, not just on first listing.
Then, when it sells, the final value fee is 30p + 12.9% in the pets category. Again, multiply by 1.2 so it's actually 36p + 15.48%. That's charged on the whole amount including any postage if you charge for that separately.
The fees page also gives you the cost of any optional upgrades, the international fees charged if your buyer is abroad, final value fee percentages for every ebay category and prices and what's included for the different levels of shop subscription if you go down that route.

Your trading as a Private seller on ebay and should upgrade to a business account, see this link
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/selling-policies/business-seller-policy?id=4710
Buyer protection fees only apply to private sellers not Business sellers

Many thanks for your help.
