Bought a fake goods

Hi

please can anyone advise, I’ve written to eBay with no reply basically I have bought goods which are way to small to the size I choose, the goods are clearly fake ,

the seller will

now reimburse but at my cost for shipping which will cost me a lot of money, surely if the goods are not as advertised and sold eBay are responsible thank you for any help

if you open an eBay not as described case the seller has to issue you with a prepaid returns label -

If you just sent the item back and paid the postage yourself there's no way you can force the seller to repay you the postage.

If the item is not as described that is the size is different from that listed and not that it just ' does not fit'. Then the seller is responsible for the return postage.

Sizes vary from Brand to Brand you'll find a size 10 in Marks & Spencer is a totally different size to a size 10 in Primark.  I'm giving this example as it would not win a case for item not as described,  and for a return the buyer would need to pay for that tracked postage.

Was this from a Chinese seller?  Their sizes do come up small and best to buy when exact measurements are included not just a size number.

Sounds like your case is one for ' Does Not Fit'  and here you need to pay for the tracked return.  It will go back to the item's location this is shown on the listing,  do not be fobbed off that it needs to be posted say,  to China.

As advised, sizes from China are not a good match for UK sizes and you do need to order larger.

If you have opened a case stating wrong size/does not fit, then you cannot now open a 'not as described' case.

It's worth pointing out, for future purchases for you, or for other members that read this forum, that a genuine Canada Goose gilet, bought from their website, would be about £600.

Ebay does not allow fakes, but equally, it doesn't guarantee the authenticity of anything you buy.

If you want a great quality item, it's better to buy it direct from the manufacturer. Paying a sixth of the price for a gilet from China was probably always going to be a disappointing purchase.
