Bought a 280 USD item from the US, with estimated delivery date of 26 september- 6 october. tracking hasnt updated for the item since 24th of september and never got delivered to my address, however it already arrived at the hub so ebay lost it. i then opened an item not received case on the 3rd of november and ebay immediately closed it, i then contacted customer support and they said they would raise it up with the department that manages this. Now i receive an email saying im not covered by ebay money back guarantee 30 days and i need to contact the seller for a refund, they also said i need to open an ebay item not receievd case next time within 30 days. What does the seller have to do with it, the item already arrived at the hub. also i did open an item not received case but ebay just closed it immediately. Is there still any way for me to get my money back

It sounds like you you were too late opening case.
Try your payment provider.

What does the seller have to do with it
Nothing. This is just standard advice, whoever you spoke to must have forgotten that the seller isn't liable for losses in global shipping.
As has been said, your payment provider e.g. credit or debit card may be able to help. You should still be within their time limit to claim (usually around 6 months for chargebacks).
