I'm afraid that's the only form of  age verification eBay accept.

Anyone can own a debit card,  but you need to be 18 years or older to own a credit card.

If you feel like complaining about this, and pointing out that there are other ways to verify age, PLEASE complain to eBay, and not here.

We are only other users like yourself. If the buyers who rant about this would  complain to eBay instead something might actually be done about it.
