Account restriction on selling due to ID

Hello my account has had a restriction put on it so i cant sell, ive been with ebay for 17 years and only changed my address twice with no problems at all, i dont even sell a lot.

They are asking for ID which i have sent all formats, licence, passport, government letter etc.., but the restriction still stands.

i spoke on the phone to ebay and was assured the new ID i sent would be good enough, it wasnt, now ive just got an email stating my complaint is closed, what complaint ? i didn't make one, it states that a ebay pro has looked at it and is found in there favour ?,. i dont understand what there talking about im only trying to sort my ID out.

ive also been buying stuff on ebay which is sent to the address listed in my account, ?

Im running out of patience now, i have no more id to send, i wish the person on the phone didn't lie, and tell me ide be selling again i 3 days.

Any help,

Account restriction on selling due to ID

It wholly depends on the Customer Service agent you speak to,  as to the answer you receive.

You do need to contact CS again,  ask exactly where your account status is at presently,  when it can be active to sell.  Which form of ID sent is not acceptable.

Contact CS only very first thing in the  morning when the lines first open at 8 a.m. on weekdays,  as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

Lines open 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. on weekdays

9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.

Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.

Useful advice as always from tressygirl.

Is it possible that there is a discrepancy between the name you used when you opened your account and the name on your ID?
If the name on your account is Jonny, for example, but your name as shown on your ID is Jonathan, that could cause an issue.

Maybe check before you contact CS.
